Dr. Andrea Calista has wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as she can remember. What began as a childhood dream became a reality when she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences in 2019.

For Dr. Calista, veterinary medicine is about much more than treating illness—it’s about providing exceptional, compassionate care and helping pets live their healthiest, happiest lives. She is dedicated to partnering with pet owners to make informed decisions and believes every patient deserves individualized attention, gentle handling, and the highest quality medicine possible.

Building trust with her patients is one of Dr. Calista’s favorite parts of the job. She understands that a trip to the veterinarian can be stressful, so she strives to create a positive experience for every pet. And if a few extra treats are needed to win them over—she’s not above a little bribery! Her goal is for every patient and owner to leave feeling a little less anxious and a little more confident about their next visit.

When she’s not caring for pets, Dr. Calista enjoys reading, drawing, and heading out on off-roading adventures with her husband and three stepchildren. Her own animal family keeps life entertaining and includes Bubbles, a ball-obsessed Rottweiler; Bodhi, a Boxer-Chihuahua mix who never misses treat time; three cats—Smokey and Chip, her sweet-as-pie snuggle buddies, and Jett, whose name perfectly matches his jet-fueled, energetic personality—and Severus Snape, her ball python who keeps things Slytherin.

Dr. Calista feels incredibly fortunate to be living her childhood dream every day and looks forward to caring for your beloved companions as if they were her own.
